Centre For Islamic Banking, Finance and Management (CIBFM), with the support of Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam organised the “CIBFM Open Day 2019” which started today, 6 Jamadilakhir 1440 corresponding to 11 February 2019 and will continue on until tomorrow, Tuesday, 7 Jamadilakhir 1440 corresponding to 12 February 2019, at the Lecture Theatre Hall, The Core Residential College, Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
Carrying the theme “Learn, Adapt, Progress”, the objective of the two-day event is to raise awareness on CIBFM and the services they provide such as trainings, events and licensing for the development of human capital in the areas of Islamic Finance, conventional finance and leadership.
The Open Day started with a recital of the Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the opening remarks from Yang Mulia Hajah Sufinah binti Haji Sahat, Acting Assistant Managing Director of Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD) as Acting Chief Executive Officer of CIBFM.
The event continued with a special presentation from Dr Amat Taap Manshor, the CEO of SMR HR Group, on “Talent Management Competency Framework”, and a panel discussion between HR professionals from different companies discussing on the topic “New World Challenges and Solutions in HR”, as well as trainer showcases for upcoming trainings under CIBFM.
The second day of the event will be geared towards jobseekers in assisting and helping them in their job applications. The first of the day’s programme will be a panel discussion between HR recruitment professionals on the topic “How to Impress your Potential Employers?”. This panel will share the expectations of HR before, during, and after the recruitment process.
Other programmes that will be held on the second day includes a short training on interview skills; a training on developing team communication called People Manual (Jobseeker edition); and finally a condensed, registered productivity training, “Getting Things Done ®”.
Jobseekers are invited and encouraged to come to the CIBFM Open Day at the Lecture Theatre Hall, The Core Residential College, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, to take advantage of the free courses that will be held through the day.
