 BILIF holds Curriculum Vitae (CV) writing clinic for students to improve employability

 

Brunei Institute of Leadership & Islamic Finance (BILIF) organised a Curriculum Vitae (CV) writing clinic on Monday, 22 Sya’ban 1442 corresponding to 5 April 2021 at the Business Marketing Communication Centre, Kolej International Graduates Studies (KIGS).

The CV writing clinic was organized for students and was attended by over 50 students from KIGS, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Politeknik Brunei (PB) and Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology (CCCT). Leading the clinic was Mr Anthony Sigar, Recruitment Consultant, Grominda Group.

The CV writing clinic which ran for 3-hours covered all aspects needed to construct an impactful and concise CV that highlights important information that a recruitment officer is looking for. Among the topics that were taught in the clinic include “Basic Structure of a CV”, “What Kind of Skills?” and “How to Make an Impression”.

The clinic is one of BILIF’s Enrichment Programme initiatives which aims to assist in addressing unemployment in Brunei Darussalam by increasing participants’ job marketability and improving their abilities to impress prospective employers.
