Brunei Institute of Leadership & Islamic Finance (BILIF) hosted the BILIF Open Day 2025 on Thursday, 28 Syaaban 1446 | 27 February 2025 at the ILIA Building, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD).
The event was attended by over 100 participants from various organisations in the public and private sectors.
In alignment with the theme of BILIF’s 15th anniversary, “Mastery in Motion,” the BILIF Open Day 2025 featured presentations, showcases and networking activities that provided attendees with insights into professional development and learning pathways, including opportunities for skill enhancement and certifications.
The event began with an opening address by Awang Afero Eswandy Mohamad, Acting Chief Executive Officer of BILIF. In his remarks, he emphasised the critical role of continuous learning and professional development in staying relevant in today’s rapidly evolving professional landscape. He also encouraged participants to explore the various programmes, events, and certification opportunities offered by BILIF in 2025, which are designed to support their professional growth and advancement.
The first segment of the event started with a presentation titled “Journey to Mastery: Immersive BX” delivered by BILIF and their international partners. The session covered key topics such as Human Resources, Leadership, and Finance. In the afternoon, BILIF hosted a session called “BILIF Showcase,” which included teambuilding activities designed to enhance workplace performance.
BILIF also hosted exhibitions featuring local and international strategic partners including Institute for Leadership, Innovation and Advancement (ILIA), Manpower Planning and Employment Council (MPEC), Lifelong Learning Centre (L3C), and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) among others. The exhibition showcased a diverse range of learning opportunities and valuable information, inviting guests and visitors to delve into avenues available for their personal and career development.
