  • The MSc Banking and Finance is a comprehensive and rigorous programme designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and insights required for a successful career in the dynamic field of banking and finance. Pre-Requisite

To attain a place on our postgraduate degrees, you need either:

  • A 2.1 honours degree, or equivalent, from a recognised institution, or
  • To have achieved Chartered Associateship with us through the ‘qualification’ route.

If English is not your first language, you will need to achieve an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of at least 6.5 or equivalent.

If you don't meet the requirements above but have equivalent experience and qualifications, we will consider your application and may still accept you.

In this case, you will need to show that you can achieve at master’s level, and contribute to the debates, discussions and work of the learning set. We may ask to interview you or require an extra piece of written work with your application.

Who Should Attend

  • Our programme is designed for professionals already working in banking and finance. Learning and teaching is centred on the Virtual Learning Platform and is self-paced study, with both synchronous and asynchronous support from your module academic.

It will provide you with the insights you need to operate as a leader in the sector by looking at fintech through a range of essential lenses including the:

    Qualifying Examination for Insurance & Takaful Agents (QEFITA)

    Programme Overview

    Qualifying Examination For Insurance & Takaful Agents (QEFITA) is a licensing programme organised by BILIF with the support and guidance of Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) and the Brunei Insurance Takaful Association (BITA).

    This programme covers the theoretical study of insurance and takaful as well as the legal and regulatory requirements of Brunei Darussalam and ends with a two-hour examination.

    In order to successfully complete the programme, participants are required to sit and pass examination.

    • Develop a Strong Foundation in Insurance and Takaful

    - Equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of the principles, concepts, and operational frameworks of insurance and Takaful.

    • Enhance Risk Management Knowledge

    QEFITA is a compulsory entry requirement for all those who intend to be registered as General Insurance/Takaful agents with BITA and those who intend to pursue a career in the Insurance/Takaful Industry.
