On course for success

CORPORATE COMMUNICATION PRACTICE

OVERVIEW

In an increasingly competitive market with rising business pressures, it is vital to communicate effectively, engagingly and persuasively with both external and internal customers. Modern organisations need skilled communicators to build and enhance reputation, resulting in corporate success and satisfied stakeholders.

This interactive programme also equips participants with best-practice tools, techniques and skills to enhance individual contributions to the communication process. As well as covering all elements that make good copy, participants need to learn to contribute directly to good business, customer loyalty and better relationships by conveying messages for a variety of audiences more compellingly, professionally and distinctively.

This workshop features how to connect with your audience in a way they will remember – along with your message. We can all learn how to communicate in our own distinctive way to genuinely engage our readers and listeners. Whoever the audience, this workshop will help you make your message clear, concise and memorable. Using a series of practical exercises, participants learn how to target specific audiences in language they can relate to, and how to make a compelling story out of apparently dry data.

OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Diagnosis of areas of strength and areas requiring improvement
  • Tools for enhancing communication effectiveness
  • Strategies for gaining – and retaining – audience attention
  • Perspectives regarding challenges in press conferences, press releases and viral communication
  • Frameworks for developing and conveying messages
  • Personalised writing and speaking practice and feedback.
