The Expert

NIK SHAHRIZAL SULAIMAN

Nik Shahrizal is an Executive Director in PwC Malaysia and has over 10 years of experience in the financial sector, both in the UK and in  Malaysia. He specialises in the area of Islamic Finance and is part of the firm?s Global Islamic Finance Team (GIFT). He graduated with an Accounting and Finance degree from Lancaster University and qualified as a chartered accountant with the  Institute of Chartered  Accountants in England and Wales. Nik has been assisting various clients on Islamic Finance structures and transactions. He is also a representative for the MASB Working Group Committee on Islamic Financial Reporting and has contributed a number of articles on Islamic Finance in the local media.

ASSOC PROF. DR SYED MUSA AL HABSH

Dr. Syed Musa Alhabshi is a consultant with International Institute of Islamic Finance Inc providing advisory, research and training services to the Islamic financial services industry. He serves as an independent non-executive director with Takaful and Re-Takaful companies . At the international level, he has served as a Board Member to the Accounting Standard Board Member of the Accounting, Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institution (AAOIFI) in Bahrain and was directly involved in setting reporting, auditing and  governance  standards for Islamic Financial Institutions. With Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB) as a consultant he was involved in the development of  IFSB BASLE Pillar III for Islamic Financial services industry.
