Financial Statements and Analysis
Programme Overview
This course describes the analysis of financial statements and company valuation. Financial statement analysis is the application of analytical tools and techniques for general purpose financial statements and related data in order to derive estimates and inferences useful in business analysis. Financial statement analysis comprises of accounting analysis, financial analysis and valuation. The course will guide participants to read financial statements and interpret numbers in the financial statements.

Upon the completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the different types of selected assets and liabilities based on their importance; and
- Understand the basic accounting treatment of the different types of assets and liabilities based on the IFRS.
