Programme Overview
A 2-day programme which super-charges Dashboards by incorporating Excel functions. Participants are also introduced to techniques in generating summarised data with gives them maximum control over their Dashboard appearance.

Attended BILIF’s Hands On Workshop (HOW): Building Interactive Dashboards with MS Excel (Beginners)
Objectives
- Explain the limitations of using PivotTables to build Dashboards.
- Introduce participants to generating their own summarised data for use in Dashboards by using Excel functions.
- Introduce participants to Form Controls and how they can be used to provide interactivity in Dashboards.
- Guide participants how to use Data Bars and Sparklines in their Dashboards.
Who Should Attend
Suited for any personnel that uses Microsoft Excel to analyse and prepare management reports, especially administrative, operational and middle management staff.
Learning Outcomes
- Selectively hide data in the Dashboard based on the availability of precedent data.
- Use nested functions in Dashboards.
- Use dynamic Data Bars in Dashboards.
- Use dynamic Sparklines in Dashboards.
- Generate their own summarised data for use in Dashboards.
- Use form controls in Dashboards to provide interactivity.
- Highlight maximum and minimum values on Dashboard elements such as a column chart.
- Use check boxes to selectively plot data on charts in Dashboards.
